Chapter Meeting Minutes

is back!! Invocation was done by Jeanne A. Sign up for the TCS color
source book will be till the June meeting. We have to sign up as
a chapter. There are 2 members running for the SDP board: Sheri
Rol, and Ann Foster. We received a notice from the Kansas City society,
Grandview toler, about joining them for a make it take it program
they are having. We had 1 visitor to the meeting. Laura Heathcote
is still in the hospital. Jan-retreat and charities- Debbie C. We
need memory boxes and for every box brought in you will receive
a gift. Mary M. for Turning point we received $350 in merchandise
and $50 in donations. For the June meeting please bring in cleaning
supplies. Later in the year we will do something for the USO. They
need books! Please bring books to June meeting for service men.
Retreat- We have 22 projects to vote for. When voting choose 4-3hr
classes and 10-4hr classes. Jan will notify teachers if accepted
or not accepted. Retreat color books will be ready by June meeting.
There are a couple surprises to tell at the June meeting about retreat.
Registration has been raised by $10. For Saturday night banquet
we need 40 people. Menu is already lined up. Retreat color books
are $2. Hotel rooms are $79 per night. Bring your hat that was made
at the last retreat back. At lunch on Saturday we are having a parasol
contest. We are having the trade show again, it will be Saturday
afternoon. Did a silent auction to offset retreat expenses. Programs-
Gibilisco seminar need to sign up now so it can be opened up to
Illinois chapter. Peggy Harris asked about a Saturday, Sunday, and
Monday seminar? Voted yes to negotiate that in March 2006. Thank
you Gloria Falk for preparing the photo albums and the painted pieces
to remember the past members that we have lost. Kathy C. sick, so
Gloria F. going to take her place. Marilyn M. going to talk about
scrap booking. Maureen McNaughton patterns and anything ordered
please see Mary Jo. There were also patterns given to Library. Library
will be back in June. Winner of the newsletter name is "Gateway
Gazette". There was a total of 41 votes; there were 20 votes for
the winner. May 22 is the deadline for the newsletter. There were
60 members and 2 guests; Michelle Wolf and Doni Benson. Got new
directory for 2005 looks great. One last thank you to Gloria for
past president. Jim and Jo Lair, Seminar for memorial weekend. Vada's
ad for Delta will be in the July issue of Paint works. SDP is sponsoring
a workshop in Wichita in October. Vada and her group has volunteered
to do refreshments for November, we still need someone for September.
