Meeting called to order at 1:18 p.m.
Vada
Galvan gave the invocation by reading a poem.
Gloria
greeted the attending members and guests. The September minutes
were approved with one change. The Retreat Trade Show hours were
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Treasurer's Report was approved as
printed in the newsletter. Donna had made one change to the September
report. Interest amount was added twice and the change was reflected
in the November report.
Gold
Brush nominations are still open and Barb Ogden would like any
nominations to be submitted ASAP so the Gold Brush Committee can
meet.
Gloria
brought to the floor Ellen Rohne's proposed addition to the Bylaws
as printed in the Nov. Newsletter. A discussion followed. Gloria
called for a motion, but none was presented. Jim Lair made a motion
that the Bylaws remain as is. Joyce Miller seconded the motion.
The motion passed by a show of hands; 42 in favor, 4 opposed and
1 abstained.
Cheryll
Wilburn called for nominations for officers from the floor. Nominations
were closed. Dixie Reeb then asked for nominations to be reopened.
A vote was taken to reopen nominations and by a show of hands
reopening passed. Dixie then nominated Jim Lair for Vice President.
There was a discussion and Jim accepted the nomination. Since
there was only one candidate for each office, no written ballot
was necessary. Barb Ogden made a motion that the slate of officers
as published in the newsletter plus write-in, Jim Lair, be accepted
by acclamation. Joyce Miller seconded the motion. The motion passed.
